Antenatal Classes

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Preparing for your baby's arrival can be a daunting task. Finding time to read all the books or follow daily apps can be very time-consuming.

My aim is to give you practical advice, accumulated over years of personal and paediatric experience. With a qualification in midwifery (but not practising), we will be focusing on your needs, while sharing essential need-to-know information. Information includes aspects of the 3rd trimester and preparation, vaginal birth, c-section births and various interventions, newborn expectations, and breastfeeding, all with reliable resources and links to supplement the classes.

Research has shown that childbirth education makes a difference in breaking the FEAR-TENSION-PAIN cycle by equipping yourself with knowledge. Get in touch so we can get you informed and ready for the arrival of your little one. Please note that booking is essential as spaces are limited.

Early Intervention

Early Intervention

Baby Basics

Do you know what to do in case of an emergency at home? Unresponsive babies, choking, febrile convulsions and head injuries to name a few, are only a reality in the everyday life of young infants and children. Early intervention prevents further complications and improves outcomes.

As a qualified BLS Instructor and paediatric sister, I will teach techniques in the management of an unresponsive or choking infant, with a practical component. In the second part of the class, I will discuss fever management, minor head injuries, minor burns, water safety and baby safety at home.

This session is aimed at new and expecting parents and all carers of young babies. Groups of moms, nannies and grannies are very welcome. This class also makes an excellent baby shower gift.

Empower yourself to care for young infants and children with confidence during an emergency. See the event calendar or get in touch for dates.

CPR for Everyone

The Resus Council of Southern Africa CPR for EVERYONE course is designed to teach the techniques of CPR and choking in adults, children, and infants, and the use of the AED to lay rescuers, particularly those who are expected to respond to emergencies in their occupation or workplace. The course is ideal for security personnel, law enforcement officers, firefighters, teachers, lifeguards, swimming coaches, health and fitness staff, corporate and retail employees and other lay responders. See the event calendar or get in touch for dates.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers

The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings. See the event calendar or get in touch for dates.
